Rev Alan Reid
The Rev Alan Reid is the Moderator of the Presbytery of Perth. He was called to the ministry when he was 15 and after studying for an MA in French and Music at St Andrews he took a BD at New College, Edinburgh. After serving as probationer in the Howe of Fife Alan was ordained to the charge of Castleton & Saughtree with Newcastleton Congregational Church in 1989. In 1993 there was a union of the churches to become Liddesdale Parish Church which in 2003 was linked with Canonbie United Parish Church (a partnership of the Church of Scotland and United Free Churches). In 2009 he was called to Kinross where he have been since. Alan served as clerk to the former Presbytery of Perth from 2011-2015. He is married to Christine and they have two grown up sons.

Presbytery Clerk
The Rev Dr John Ferguson is the Presbytery Clerk. John was educated at Glasgow University and his first charge was in Kirkcaldy, followed by a 23 year period as parish minister at Peterculter in Aberdeen. John was also the part time Clerk for Aberdeen Presbytery and then Aberdeen and Shetland Presbytery. He is married with two grown up sons.

Depute Clerk
Edward (Ed) Morton is the Depute Clerk. Before he joined the Presbytery of Perth he served as Depute Clerk to the legacy Presbytery of Stirling. Ed is an active member of St Ninians Old Parish Church in Stirling where he serves as Congregational Treasurer.

Temporary Presbytery Treasurer
Martin Dunsmore is our temporary Presbytery Treasurer. He is the former Presbytery Treasurer for the legacy Stirling Presbytery. Martin has very kindly agreed to act as temporary Treasurer, ensuring that essential matters are dealt with regarding Presbytery finances.

Jamie McNamara is the Buildings Officer. He has a wealth of experience in the building industry and is a conservation surveyor and heritage specialist.

Ruth Rankin is the Presbytery Communications officer. She comes from an arts education background and is an active member of Perth Riverside Church.

Safeguarding Officer
Mairi MacLeod has most recently worked as part of the engagement team for a cancer prevention charity, working with many national charities and alongside the NHS to increase awareness around cancer prevention, especially promoting key messages to groups in society that experience inequality and barriers to accessing screening. Mairi studied at Edinburgh Napier University and her background includes more than a dozen years as a professional trainer in both corporate and charity sectors. In her free time Mairi enjoys time out and about with her adorable west highland terrier, Archie!
